Yes you can when we install your alarm we give you the master code this allows you to change, add and delete user codes when ever you like.  DSC how to change codes How many codes can i have? The amount of codes you can have depends on the system you have the most popular panel we install (DSC 1616) has 48 user codes.  What if i have pets? If you have pets and want to leave them inside when the alarm is on you can upgrade your motion detectors to Pet Detectors which will not see your pets but will see you. Yes - The smoke detectors we use have an optical smoke detector recommended by the fire department they have a heat detector and inbuilt sounder (85db) so they comply with the housing regulations. They are powered by the alarm system so don't need batteries.  When choosing a hardwired smoke detector we believe it needs to have a sounder (not just a buzzer or nothing) they cost a little more but they can save your life. For this reason we don't install the cheaper smoke detectors without sounders.  Can i use the alarm at night when im in bed? Yes - The alarm has two modes of arming Stay and Away. Stay mode is most commonly used to arm the areas you are not in when you are in bed at night i.e.: turn the lounge, dining, study and garage on but leave the bedrooms and hall off.
